If you are the kind of person that has a 5 year plan for your business, written down, structured, with annual goals, and quarterly targets, then you are rare. If you are one of those dentists, then I am guessing you are achieving or have already achieved everything you set out to achieve. So congrats to you and we would love to hear from you and get insight into your particular strategic plan and how you achieved your goals.
The majority have no goals written down
Unfortunately, most dentists do not have a specific strategic plan written out and tend to go to work day by day, hoping for the best.
Without any specific goals, your days are likely the same as they have always been, and the issues you complain about continue to plague you month after month, year after year.
Without a 5 year plan, broken down into key targets with deadlines and action steps, you will never achieve as much as you would if you did this little exercise or writing it out.
If you actually sit down and spend a bit of time creating a strategic plan that breaks your 5 year goal into yearly goals, then quarterly targets, and you create action steps that you can implement on a daily basis, you will amaze yourself and how much you can accomplish.
